Last year, I picked up a Nikon D200 for about $72. While it hasn’t necessarily changed the way I work, I’ve really appreciated the images I’ve been able to get from this old camera.

The magnesium alloy build makes it feel more like a custom power tool than a modern gadget, and that CCD sensor produces organic colors that are just fun to shoot with. I put together a quick video to show why I’m still using this $70 camera in 2026 and to share some of the shots I’ve taken.
