My #BlackJoy

Tashi Ko started the #BlackJoy movement. And, as with everything else, I’m late as hell. But #BlackJoy comes when it wants to, and in unexpected ways.

It came to me today, watching a 2-and-half-year-old doing her. Tos thought Jaz’s hair appointment was a week earlier than it actually is, but #BlackJoy is Jaz enjoying her fro’ despite that mix up.

It’s #Bawsebaby saying, “Look at my hair, daddy!”

#BlackJoy is her assertive “mm hmm” when daddy says, “You look nice, Jaz.”
